Hall of Thais
Beyond the walls of Thais there are sewers full of rats, tunnels full of orcs and a lair full of dragons. The Royal Guard cannot hold them back alone. These are the heroes who answered the call.
The Royal Guard
Thais is the oldest city of the kingdom and the seat of King Tibianus. Its walls have held for centuries — but what threatens Thais today does not come over the walls. It comes from below.
Rats overrun the sewers. Rotworms dig towards the foundations. In the tunnels to the northwest, the orcs gather around a giant they call Grashnak the Bonecrusher. Deep beneath the city, the minotaurs of Mintwallin are arming themselves, and in the lair north of Thais something old and grey sleeps on a bed of fire: Morgrath the Ashen.
Captain Harkon of the Royal Guard recruits in Frodo's tavern, north of the temple. He has twelve missions, from level 8 to 80, for anyone willing to serve. Every mission earns the hero a little more of the city's trust — and the merchants of Thais notice.

The royal crypt: Valdric the Oathbroken
Valdric was Lord Commander of the Royal Guard until he broke his oath to the King. He sleeps in the royal crypt beneath the castle — and every Knight of the King may challenge him once a day, alone or with up to four friends.
How to face him, every day
- Become a Knight of the King: finish Captain Harkon's 12 missions (only once).
- Every day, go to Captain Harkon in Frodo's tavern, north of the temple and say crypt. He takes you to the antechamber of the royal crypt.
- Stand on the 4 dark spots in front of the lever (the one who pulls stands next to the lever) and pull it. Everyone on the spots enters together.
- You have 15 minutes. Win or lose, you can try again 24 hours after entering. Type !bosses in game to see your time.
His mechanics
- Royal Judgement: the floor under you flashes red for 3 seconds — step off.
- The Duel: when he calls your name, stay within 2 squares of him for 6 seconds.
- Oath Wardens (70% and 35%): winged statues make him immune — break them in the corners.
- Fallen Guard (50%): while a guard lives he takes half damage — kill them first.
- Fury (20%): he hits 30% harder until the end.
