Extra Slot
The slot below your shield holds a light that never goes out and one bonus. Arrows and bolts now go in a quiver.
The slot below your shield (the old ammunition slot) is the extra slot. Only extra slot items go there.
Every extra slot item:
- gives a light as strong as utevo gran lux and never goes out;
- adds one bonus, the same size a normal piece of equipment would give, so the slot helps without breaking the balance.

Arrows and bolts go in a quiver
Because the old ammunition slot became the extra slot, arrows and bolts now work only inside a quiver. Only paladins can use quivers. Put the quiver in your shield slot with the ammunition inside; your bow or crossbow takes it from there.

TipIf you had arrows in the old slot, they were moved to your quiver, backpack or Store Inbox when you logged in. Nothing was lost.
Which one should I use?
The Hunt Analyzer shows the damage you take by element and points to the extra slot item that protects against your biggest threat in that hunt.
Frequently asked questions
Does the light ever run out?
No. Extra slot items shine forever.
Can I put a torch or ammunition in the extra slot?
No. Only extra slot items fit there.
Can a druid use the War Lantern?
No. The vocation items work only for their vocation. The other items work for everyone.
My bow stopped shooting. Why?
Arrows and bolts only work inside a quiver in your shield slot. Put your ammunition in a quiver.
Which item protects me best?
