The Forge
Upgrade Rare items to Epic and Legendary, reroll attribute values and upgrade Store backpacks.
The Forge is where rare items become legendary. It is a special anvil: click it to open the forge window, then drag an item from your backpack or equipment into it.

Upgrading rarity

- On success the item gains one new attribute, chosen at random from the list of its item type.
- On failure you lose the gold and the materials, but never the item.
- An item can only go as far as its tier allows (a tier 2 item stops at Epic). See Item Rarity (Rare, Epic, Legendary).
- The gold comes from your backpack first and then from your bank.
Materials
Materials are creature products you already collect while hunting (minotaur leather, dragon's tail, demon horn...). Each one is worth some points, and the window shows which of yours will be used.

TipDon't sell your creature products to NPCs if you plan to use the Forge: they are your materials.
Rerolling

Prices are fixed: they don't grow with the number of rerolls.
Every button asks for confirmation: the first click turns it into "Confirm?", and a second click within 3 seconds does it.
Upgrading Store backpacks
The Forge also upgrades the weight reduction of Puria Backpacks:

Frequently asked questions
Can I lose my item at the Forge?
No. A failure costs only the gold and the materials of that attempt.
Can I turn a normal item into a Rare at the Forge?
No. Rare items come from monsters and quests. The Forge upgrades Rare to Epic and Epic to Legendary.
Why can't my item go to Legendary?
Its tier is lower than 3. Look at the item to see how far it can go.
Does rerolling get more expensive each time?
No. Prices are fixed.
Can a value reroll make my attribute worse?
No. A value reroll always gives a higher value.
