Updated 2026-10-01 · 6 questions answered

Welcome to Puria Online, a Tibia 8.0 world built for players who want a long, fair and challenging journey. This page takes you from zero to your first hunt.

1. Create your account

  1. Click Register on the website.
  2. Your account name is a number (only digits, it cannot start with zero). Write it down: you log in with the number, not with your character's name.
  3. Choose a strong password and confirm your e-mail.
  4. Create your first character on the website. Every character starts in Rookgaard, the training island.

TipEvery new account receives 3 days of Premium for free, so you can try every premium benefit from day one. See Premium Account.

2. Install the launcher

Puria is played with its own client, delivered by the Puria Launcher.

  1. Go to Downloads on the website and download the launcher.
  2. Run it. On the first start it downloads the full client; after that it only downloads what changed.
  3. Always open the game through the launcher. That way you are always on the latest version, with every fix and new feature.

Good to knowWindows may warn that the launcher comes from an unknown publisher. This happens with small independent projects. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

3. Log in

Open the launcher, press Play, type your account number and password, and pick your character. Your first destination is Rookgaard.

4. Your first hours

Rookgaard is not just a place to grind levels. It has a short story and missions that teach you the game:

  • Talk to Commander Aldric in the village square. He gives you six missions with gold, experience and equipment.
  • Open your Journal with Ctrl+J. It records everything you do on the island: places, creatures, bosses and milestones.
  • When you reach level 8, visit the Oracle to choose your vocation and travel to Thais, your first city.

Everything about the island is in Rookgaard, Aldric's Missions and the Journal.

Frequently asked questions

Is Puria Online free to play?

Yes. You can play forever without paying. Free accounts can use every spell, every boat, every NPC and every area of the map. Premium adds comfort, not access. See Premium Account.

I forgot my account number. What do I do?

Use the account recovery on the website with the e-mail you registered. Your account is a number, not your character's name.

Can I play without the launcher?

No. The launcher keeps your client updated and the server only accepts the current client version.

How many characters can I have?

You can create several characters on the same account. Remember the rule about clients: you may have two clients open per computer, but only one of them may be hunting. See Rules and Punishments.

Which vocation should I choose?

All four are viable. Knights are the toughest, Paladins fight from distance with great balance, Sorcerers deal the most magic damage and Druids are the best healers. You choose with the Oracle at level 8, so you have time to decide. See Vocations and Promotion.

The launcher says my client is outdated or it fails to update.

Close the game, open the launcher again and let it finish. If it keeps failing, check that your antivirus is not blocking the launcher's folder.
