Monsters & Bosses

The Molten Colossus

The Kazordoon city boss: a lava guardian of the Great Forge that melts the floor, slams the ground and hides behind exploding cores.

Updated 2026-10-12 · 6 questions answered

The dwarves forged the Colossus to guard the Great Forge, deep beneath the mountain. Magmor's undying flame woke it up, and now it no longer knows a single dwarf. Marshal Durgan only sends his best: those who finished every mission of Kazordoon.

How to get there

  1. Complete Marshal Durgan's 10 missions (in the temple of Kazordoon). See Kazordoon: Marshal Durgan and the missions of the city.
  2. Talk to Durgan and say forge (or colossus). You are taken to the antechamber.
  3. Stand on the 4 dark marble spots in front of the lever. The player who pulls stands on the spot next to the lever.
  4. Pull the lever. Everyone on the spots enters together.

The magic forcefield in the corner of the antechamber takes you back to the Kazordoon temple. Inside the room, the forcefield in the bottom-right corner takes you back to the antechamber.

Every day

The missions are done only once. After that, every day: talk to Durgan and say forge, stand on the spots and pull the lever. Win or lose, you can enter again 24 hours after you entered. Type !bosses in game to see how long is left.

Attacks

Attack Damage (group of 4)
Melee up to 550
Fire wave in front of it 260 to 420
Fire burst around it 200 to 350
Thrown boulder that bursts around the target 180 to 300

Alone you take 75% of this, with 2 players 85%, with 3 players 95%.

The mechanics

Every mechanic is announced: a red message in the middle of the screen, and the danger is marked on the floor before it hurts. When the fight starts you also get a summary.

1. Molten Floor: step off and stay out of the fire

Every 12 seconds it shouts "THE FORGE NEVER COOLS!". The floor under each player and a couple of squares nearby flashes for 3 seconds, burns for 300 to 480 fire damage and turns into fire for 6 seconds.

TipLeave the marked squares and don't walk back over the fire. Later in the fight the room fills up with fire: plan your path.

2. Hammer Slam: STAND BACK

From the 10th second, every 16 seconds it yells "STAND BACK!" and a red ring appears 2 squares around it for 2 seconds. Then it slams the ground: everyone within 2 squares takes 420 to 680 physical damage.

TipEven the knight must step back 3 squares when the ring appears, then come back.

3. Forge Cores: break them away from friends (65% and 30%)

At 65% and 30% Forge Cores appear (2 alone, 3 with 2 or 3 players, 4 with a full group). A fire beam links them to the Colossus, which becomes immune while any core burns. Each core explodes when it dies: 300 to 500 fire damage to everyone within 2 squares.

TipKill each core with only one player close to it, or from a distance.

4. Overheat (20%)

Below 20% it yells "OVERHEATING!", hits 30% harder and burns anyone right next to it for 120 to 180 every 3 seconds.

Strategy

  • It is immune to fire. Use ice: mages with ice spells; knights and paladins hit him normally (physical).
  • It is slow: kite it around the room and lead it away from the fire fields.
  • Keep an eye on the red ring: the Hammer Slam is the biggest hit of the fight.
